Today marks seventeen days since the A-frame building located across from Friendship Haven on Kenyon Road was purposely set on fire. Within the past two weeks, investigators from the Fort Dodge Fire Department and an insurance agency have been assessing the aftermath leftover from the catastrophe. After determining what could have ignited the fire, the investigators concluded the building was intentionally set ablaze, notably ruling this as arson. The fire started at about 7:20 at night on October 12th, and was under control within an hour. Flames from the fire were reported to reach thirty feet into the air, and firefighters were on scene for more than five hours.
