The team that was originally known as the Washington Redskins, but most recently known as the Washington Football Team, from pressure to remove the mention of Native American groups, will officially change their name again. After 18 months, which
was two complete NFL seasons for the team, they introduced their new name on Wednesday. The team will be known as the Washington Commanders, as team President Jason Wright announced during an interview on the NBC Today Show. Besides the new name, the Commanders logo and examples of different uniform combinations were shown and also shared on social media.
